this article to spread the word of this contest far and wide, for the good of mankind.Welcome, one and all, to the inaugural contest of #ManStock. There are two parts to this contest – one for stockers and one for artists.
FOR THE STOCKERS
Starting on 25th July all stockers who are Contributors to the group [and you all know where the “Join” button is if you haven’t joined already] can submit up to 3 NEW stock images of men to the Contest Stock folder in the group gallery. You will have until 25th August to get your images in.
After 25th August we will hold a poll for three days in which the community can vote for their favourite of the stock pieces. The winner of this poll will get a feature in the #ManStock blog and 50 points. In addition to this ^PirateLotus-Stock and I will each choose a favourite stock piece and those images will also be featured here and the stockers receive 25 points.
FOR THE ARTISTS
Starting on 25th July [and yes, that’s the same date at the stockers begin submissions – so get your stock in quickly!] all artists who are Members or Contributors to the group have the opportunity to create up to 2 digital or traditional art pieces using one or more of the stock images from the Contest Stock folder. You must mention in your comments that the piece is for this contest, and credit the stock used. Entries can be submitted to the Contest Entries folder in the group favourites. This section of the contest ends on 25th September.
The winners of the contest will be chosen by myself and ^PirateLotus-Stock. The judge’s decision is final. We will take into account both concept and technical skill. Entries will be disqualified if the stock used is not credited or the individual stocker’s rules are not followed.
TO SUMMARIZE
STOCKERS can submit up to 3 images to the Contest Stock folder from 25th July – 25th August. ARTISTS can create up to 2 digital or traditional art pieces using said stock from 25th July – 25th September, and must submit the images to the Contest Entries folder. The COMMUNITY will vote for its favourite contest stock image, as well as one choice ^PirateLotus-Stock and myself will choose the winners of the artist’s entries. Be sure to stick to the theme "What Makes a Man?" There may be unicorns.PRIZES

If you can donate a prize to any of the places for either stock or artists please send a group note or a note to ^PirateLotus-Stock or myself detailing what you can give and to what place. There is also a points donation widget on ~MaithiranStock’s profile – whatever points are raise will be distributed to the winning artists.
